This term, our students will be taking part in our Term 2 competitions – a highlight of the term and a chance to apply their learning in a more challenging and dynamic way.

Across our general programs, each competition is designed to extend thinking, problem-solving, and confidence:

  • Galileo’s Gang: Science, Mathematics and Reading
  • Advanced English: Year-based English competitions
  • Maths Talent: Year-based Mathematics competitions

Note: Year-based competitions give students a valuable opportunity to shine alongside their cohort. Because our mastery assessments in Terms 1, 3 and 4 are intentionally challenging, students may not always have the chance to see just how capable they are.

With ribbons and trophies as rewards for recognition, these moments are always exciting for students – not just as a chance to achieve, but to challenge themselves and see how far they’ve come. Occasionally, we also promote our competition superstars to the next mastery level.

For families not yet in our programs, this is a glimpse into how we go beyond the standard curriculum. Our approach focuses on developing deep thinking and strong foundations, with opportunities for students to apply their skills in meaningful ways throughout the term.

We look forward to seeing our students rise to the challenge.
