New prospective students invited to a taste of Springboard!

Each year in Term 1, The Swot Shop opens its doors to prospective Springboard students to showcase our Springboard enrichment program and enable students to experience the program through a free sample lesson.

The Springboard Program is for students in Kindergarten and Year 1.

Springboard is a wonderful opportunity for young learners to take part in a tactile and enriching educational program that engages bright students in a fun and inquisitive way to stimulate their skills and love of learning.

The Springboard Open Day with sample lessons for prospective students are held:

The Swot Shop Education Centre

Building C, 8 Columbia Way

If you or someone you know has a bright, motivated child in Kindergarten or Year 1, this is a fantastic opportunity to see if The Swot Shop Springboard program is for them.

Dates for next year to be announced.

What are the Springboard Programs?

Springboard programs engage bright young children in fun, challenging and stimulating activities to assist in the development of their reading, writing, number and thinking skills. Research has shown that the early development of thinking skills leads to more rapid progress later in the learning of reading, writing and maths.

The programs aim to equip young learners with the skills and confidence they need to excel academically and personally and get a great start to their educational journey.

By offering a holistic approach to early learning enrichment, the Swot Shop Springboard Program sets students up for success in school and beyond. The program aims to:

  • Boost literary and language skills.
  • Improve mathematical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strengthen cognitive abilities in logic, strategy, memory and visual perception.
  • Cultivate a love for learning and investigation.
  • Aid in building self-assurance, self-worth and a positive outlook towards education.
  • Supplement educational programs in schools.

Teaching techniques include instruction, discussion, discovery and co-operative problem-solving in a small group setting. Our experienced teachers make extensive use of hands-on materials, and many activities are presented as puzzles and games to make learning fun and engaging for the youngest learners.
