New Term 3 Selective Condensed Class

Selective Condensed Program

The Selective Condensed Program begins in Term 3 and offers an accelerated pathway for Year 5 students who start their preparation with us later in the year.

• In Term 3, students join our Condensed format, which includes two 2-hour classes per week. This structure allows us to deliver the same depth and rigour of the full program over a shorter time, making efficient use of each student’s learning potential while respecting their cognitive capacity to concentrate at a high level.
• From Term 4 this cohort of students transition into the full Selective stream, attending one 2-hour class per week, continuing through Term 1 of Year 6.

The Selective program at The Swot Shop is designed in line with the Selective exam format and includes online test practice and an optional holiday review program offering daily test practice. Parents have access to our expert team for advice and are offered an extensive information session at the start of the program.

The content is carefully planned over the course of the program to build students’ skills gradually, ensuring they have time to learn, build, consolidate and perfect skills before they move on to the next stage of the program. Our explicit teaching method combined with just the right amount of practice means that students achieve the accuracy and speed needed to tackle the exam in the time available.

Students are welcome to also join our two-term Condensed course that runs from Year 5, Term 4 through to Year 6, Term 1. This cohort completes the entire program in a condensed format and attend two 2-hour classes per week.
