Springboard (Preschool to Year 1)
Foundation Enrichment Program
The Springboard Program engages bright young children in fun, challenging and stimulating activities to assist in the development of their reading, writing, number and thinking skills. Research has shown that the early development of thinking skills leads to more rapid progress later in the learning of reading, writing and maths.
Objectives of the Springboard Program
The Springboard Program aims to equip young learners with the skills and confidence they need to excel academically and personally and get a great start to their educational journey.
By offering a holistic approach to early learning enrichment, Springboard sets students up for success in school and beyond. The program aims to:
- Boost literary and language skills.
- Improve mathematical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
- Strengthen cognitive abilities in logic, strategy, memory and visual perception.
- Cultivate a love for learning and investigation.
- Aid in building self-assurance, self-worth and a positive outlook towards education.
- Supplement educational programs in schools and preschools.
Teaching techniques include instruction, discussion, discovery and co-operative problem-solving in a small group setting. Our experienced teachers make extensive use of hands-on materials, and many activities are presented as puzzles and games to make learning fun and engaging for the youngest learners.
Who is it for?
The classes are designed for bright, enthusiastic, motivated students.
There is no entry test for admission into our Preschool and Kindergarten classes.
To join the Year 1 class, children sit a short assessment which tests focus and concentration, thinking, listening and information processing.
