About us 

The Swot Shop has delivered programs to academically gifted children for over 30 years. Many thousands of exceptional students have enjoyed the stimulation and challenges offered by our enrichment and extension programs. Students develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills and nurture their love of learning with like-minded peers.

Our programs are taught by qualified teachers who make learning academically challenging, engaging and fun.

Operating after-school hours during the week and on weekends, we run a busy operation that requires flexible, motivated staff who love education and thrive at a high pace.

The role

We are looking for one or two dynamic and energetic receptionists to join our Client Service team at Baulkham Hills. This requires someone who enjoys interacting with children and families while efficiently managing administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

The position is on a casual basis during school terms. We are looking for team members for the following hours:

Tuesday from 2pm to 8:45pm
Thursday from 2pm to 8:15pm
Sunday from 8:45am to 4pm

Extra work may also be available during school holidays as well as occasional work on Saturdays and on other weekdays.

Responsibilities 

• Providing exceptional customer service at the front desk, welcoming students and families.
• Answering incoming emails and phone calls, handling inquiries, and following up with prospective clients.
• Assisting with printing and preparing program materials, processing test results, and data entry.
• Supporting staff and teachers with administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Managing multiple priorities in a high-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.

About you

You are an energetic and organised individual who thrives in fast-paced, customer-facing roles. You have a strong background in administration with excellent attention to detail and ideally have experience working in an education or healthcare setting. You enjoy being around children, providing a welcoming and supportive environment for families, and ensuring all operations run smoothly.

Key Requirements

 Proven experience in administration in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Confident, warm, and engaging personality. You genuinely enjoy working with children and families.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.
Quick learner with an interest in education.
Ability to remain calm and pleasant under pressure.
Digitally proficient, with high competency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word) and ideally Google Workspace.
Flexibility to work outside normal business hours and weekends.
Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
