This stimulating program is designed for students in Years 3–4 who wish to further develop, practise and perfect their writing and comprehension skills. It’s ideal for students preparing for NAPLAN, private school entry exams, or for any student eager to strengthen the literacy skills essential for long-term academic success.
About the Program
📍 Location: The Swot Shop Main Centre – 8 Columbia Way, Baulkham Hills NSW 2153
🗓️ Schedule: 1:30pm – 3:30pm each day from Monday 19 to Thursday 22 January 2026
Students will explore a range of text types including reports, narratives, persuasive pieces, and diary entries, while building strong comprehension habits through guided reading and analysis. They will:
- Strengthen comprehension and vocabulary through close reading and discussion
- Learn to plan, structure, and edit written work effectively
- Refine grammar, punctuation, and sentence construction for clarity
- Practise typing and digital literacy to prepare for online exams such as NAPLAN
💻 BYO Devices Required
Students will complete written and comprehension activities on their own devices to enhance typing fluency, accuracy, and digital confidence.
All sessions are led by experienced, qualified Swot Shop teachers, ensuring each student receives personalised support and encouragement to progress confidently.

It’s ideal for students preparing for the Selective Placement Test, private school entry exams, or for any student eager to strengthen their communication skills – a foundation for long-term academic success.

- Learn how to plan, scaffold, and structure written responses effectively
- Refine grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary for clarity and impact
- Build fluency and confidence in typing as part of preparation for online exams such as the Selective Placement Test
💻 BYO Devices Required
Students will complete written and comprehension tasks using their own digital devices to enhance typing speed, accuracy, and familiarity with computer-based assessments.
All sessions are led by experienced, qualified Swot Shop teachers who provide targeted feedback and support to help every student progress with confidence.
