The transition to school is an important life stage for children and their families. Moving into the first year of school brings with it so many changes for children; changes in the environment, relationships, interactions and expectations.
Improved school readiness is therefore not only likely to contribute to a positive experience of starting school but will also have indirect impacts on children’s educational attainment and opportunities later in life. For children, positive outcomes of school readiness can include feeling more comfortable and confident, making friends and participating and, importantly, developing long term positive attitudes to learning.
The Preschool Springboard Program at The Swot Shop aims to equip young learners who are in the year before primary school with the skills and confidence they need to get the best possible start to their schooling and educational journey.
By offering a holistic approach to early learning enrichment, the Springboard Preschool Program sets students up for success in school and beyond. The program aims to:
- Boost early literary and language skills.
- Build early foundations for mathematical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
- Strengthen cognitive abilities in logic, strategy, memory and visual perception.
- Cultivate a love for learning and investigation.
- Aid in building self-assurance, self-worth and a positive outlook towards education.
- Supplement educational programs in preschools.
We are now accepting enrolments for the program which starts in Term 2. There is no entry test for this program that forms part of our three-year Springboard Foundation program suite.
Please note that students must be in their final preschool year and starting school in 2026 to qualify for the program.
