Writing is a foundational skill for all students and especially important for those with high academic aspirations. Writing skills must be developed over time and practised in a targeted and meaningful way for outstanding results. Typing is also becoming more important as exams are increasingly conducted online.
These upcoming school holidays, The Swot Shop is offering writing programs for students on two levels:
- Advanced Writing for high performing students in Selective Preparation and Years 5-6 (in 2025)
- Intermediate Writing for students in Years 3-4 (in 2025).
These four-day writing programs are suited for students keen to further improve and perfect their writing skills. The programs are particularly suitable for students who are in the process of preparing for the Selective High School Exam and are looking for additional writing practice, or those who are younger but have a long-term goal of sitting the Selective Exam and want to get a head start.
For both programs, students will bring a device to practise their writing and typing skills in line with the new online exam formats.
